The optimal settings of the Thinkware Q1000 can be set according to your preferences using Thinkware’s mobile viewer or the PC viewer. The recommendations that we will provide are based on the mobile viewer:

Setting the Camera

Maximize your video camera resolution with this optimal setting configuration From the mobile viewer, tap Dash Cam settings > Camera Settings to adjust the camera settings.

Recommended Camera Settings:

Resolution for front/rear: QHD 30FPS + QHD 30FPS

Brightness for front: Mid, depending on your windshield tint

Brightness for rear: Mid, depending on your windshield tint

Rotate rear camera: Disabled, but depending on your preference

Setting Recording Features

To ensure all-around security for your car, these are the settings that you can follow. From the mobile viewer, tap Dash Cam settings > Record Settings to manage the recording features settings.

Note: when using parking mode, you must install the hardwiring cable. If continuous power is not supplied to the Thinkware Q1000, the product will stop recording when the vehicle engine is turned off.

Recommended Recording Settings:

Continuous Mode Incident Recording Sensitivity: Mid

Super Night Vision: Continuous + Parking, may also depend on your tint

HDR: Enabled

Set Privacy Recording: OFF

Parking Mode: Motion Detection (if parked on a quiet street or driveway), and Energy Saving (if parked for an extended period of time)
